How do I change the ESN Number of a Verizon phone to work in a Metro PCS Database?

Here's the deal.. My roomate gave me his old Verizon Wireless V3M Razr phone. I have service with Metro PCS, and I was able to download the correct program and the Monster file to flash the phone from VZW to MPCS, however when I called MPCS to activate the phone, they told me that the ESN was not entering in their database. However the phone is completely flashed over to their network, all of the settings and everything. It's a Metro PCS Razr phone, I used to have one. I went to the service center in person and they said the same thing. Is there anything I can do that can fix this problem? Without having to pay the $47 fee for them to do it for me and limit me to text messaging and talk only? How do I change the ESN Number of a Verizon phone to work in a Metro PCS Database?
That would be your only option as its not coming up on their end.How do I change the ESN Number of a Verizon phone to work in a Metro PCS Database?
It appears to be some kind of newer Metro PCS policy. They want to make money on THEIR handsets and are making it tougher to put flashed phones into their database. It's less a case of they CAN'T do it and more of one where they WON'T. Some phone flashers are going more to Cricket only because it's less grief. The only real way to bypass the MPS activation headache is to be friends with a Metro dealer or be one yourself. Check around the smaller Metro dealers , you might have some more luck. Avoid corporate stores. They are trouble.

Btw, you CAN technically change the ESN but beware of the implications because it is ILLEGAL to do that in the US. As far as I know the only esn work that a phone flasher is allowed to do legally is to repair it or restore it, NOT swap it and replace it. I guess they consider that some kind of digital forgery.
