Remove/Change ESN on a Blackberry Storm2 9550?

I have a balckberry storm2 that my grandfather found in the middle of the street in Arizona. He knew i was a big Blackberry buff and sent it to me to see if i could do anything with it. Well obviously it was on the Lost/Stolen list at the verizon store. so i cant transfer my service over to it. I know there is a way to wipe the ESN off of it and replace it. They do it in India for $5. But I dont feel like traveling all the way there just to do it. Does anyone know how to do it?Remove/Change ESN on a Blackberry Storm2 9550?
i don't think, you will be able to use the phone if they disable the ESN. sorry.
